We choose not to use palm oil. Palm oil has been a hot topic for years because it’s in countless products. It’s a major driver of deforestation and is cultivated in some very unethical ways. It’s true that some sources say you can find sustainably sourced palm oil, but because it is such a financially charged industry it’s difficult to be certain. Does palm oil make a good bar of soap? Absolutely. But so does coconut oil, sunflower oil, and dozens of other oils that are more sustainably sourced.

Let’s face it, nobody actually wants to destroy the planet. But it’s not so simple, is it? It takes a lot of research, a lot of effort, and a ton of time that we just aren’t afforded in this fast-moving future.
