SOAPMAKING 101

$95.00

DEETS:

Sunday, August 9th 2026

4:00pm-6:00pm

261 Vandervoort Ave, Brooklyn, NY

(East Williamsburg)

Step into the studio and experience the magic of transforming simple, natural ingredients into beautiful handcrafted soap. During this experience, you'll learn the fundamentals of traditional cold process soap making before being guided through every step of the creative process. You'll measure your own ingredients, choose from a selection of pure essential oils to create a custom scent blend, and select a natural clay or botanical color to make your soap uniquely yours. Every ingredient we use is 100% natural (yes, really!) from the nourishing oils and butters to the beautiful earth-derived colorants, creating a soap that's as gentle on your skin as it is on the planet. By the end of class, you'll have crafted a batch of five to six bars of your very own soap to take home.

Your freshly poured soap will travel home with you in its mold, where it will harden overnight before you unmold and slice it into individual bars the following day. After curing for four to six weeks, your handcrafted soaps will be ready to enjoy or share as thoughtful, unique gifts.

PERKS:

Best of all, completing this introductory workshop unlocks access to our Open Soap Studio sessions, where you can return to create more soap using our equipment and ingredients at a discounted rate. An experienced instructor will always be available to answer questions and offer guidance, but you'll have the freedom to follow the recipe and create independently at your own pace. It's the perfect way to enjoy the creativity of soapmaking without the expense of purchasing equipment, ingredients, and supplies for home.

ADD ONS:

Looking to dive even deeper? Private one-on-one workshops are also available for those who want personalized instruction or dream of learning to make soap confidently at home. Whether you're here to learn a new skill, reconnect with your creativity, or simply enjoy a mindful afternoon, we can't wait to welcome you into the studio!
